About:

• Sam has been deeply involved with recovery for over 33 years, along with a 27-year career working in the hi-tech field, including 15 years for one of the biggest and most successful Silicon Valley software companies. Currently Sam is working for the Marin County  Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Department as a Technology Systems Specialist III working on the Electronic Health Record and Clinicians Gateway Systems, as well as pursuing a passion for helping / coaching, and providing client services to those in recovery and treatment. Sam is also working with CanAm Interventions as Monitoring Manger combining his tech and recovery backgrounds to monitor and assist clients with SoberLink and other forms of drug and alcohol testing / monitoring. • Along with his personal experience of over 33 years in recovery and helping addicts being of service in the community has been a constant. Currently Sam is serving as President of the Board of Directors for the Computer Technologies Program in Berkeley, CA, a non-profit technical education program for disabled and disadvantaged students. • Sam has also served for decades doing recovery-based volunteer work, leading, or facilitating groups, and speaking at a range of facilities, institutions, meetings, and events mainly in California, and Vancouver, BC Canada, also across the U.S.
